Attendance
Attendance
Every Day Matters
At Gosberton Academy, we believe that every day in school matters.
Regular attendance gives our learners the best possible opportunity to learn, achieve and thrive. Being in school every day helps children to build strong relationships, develop positive routines, feel part of their class and academy community, and make the most of the many learning experiences available to them.
We want our learners to enjoy coming to school and recognise the importance of being here. Attending regularly and arriving on time helps children to feel settled, confident and ready to learn from the very beginning of the school day.
We also recognise that there may be times when a child is genuinely unable to attend school or when families experience difficulties that affect attendance. Our approach is to work in partnership with families, understand any barriers and provide support wherever possible.
If we have concerns about a learner's attendance, we will communicate with families and work together to identify what can be done to improve it. Equally, if you are experiencing difficulties getting your child into school, please talk to us as early as possible so that we can help.
Working Together
Good attendance is a partnership between learners, families and the academy. By working together, we can give every learner the best possible opportunity to benefit from their education and play a full part in academy life.
Every day attended is another opportunity to learn, belong and achieve.
