Breakfast Club, After-School Provision and the School Day
At Gosberton Academy, we recognise that high-quality provision before and after the school day is important to our learners and their families. We offer a Breakfast Club, after-school activities and after-school childcare, providing opportunities for learners to socialise, explore their interests and be cared for in a safe and familiar environment.
Breakfast Club
Our Breakfast Club is available every school day from 8:00am until the start of the school day.
Learners can enjoy breakfast with their friends in a relaxed and welcoming environment before beginning their learning. A selection of food and drinks is available, which may include:
- Toast
- Cereal
- Milk
- Fruit juice
Cost: £2 per day
Payment: Via ParentPay
After-School Activities
On Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, learners have the opportunity to take part in a range of after-school activities led voluntarily by members of the Gosberton Academy team.
The activities on offer change each term, giving learners the chance to try something new, develop their interests and spend time with others beyond the classroom.
Activities may include:
- Arts and crafts
- Computing
- Board games
- LEGO
- Science
- Community activities
- A range of sports
Details of the activities available and how to sign up are shared with families each term.
After-school activities finish at 4pm.
After-School Childcare Club
Our After-School Childcare Club provides families with childcare every school day from the end of the school day until 5:30pm.
Learners are supervised and cared for by Gosberton Academy staff, with a range of activities available to keep them happy, engaged and entertained at the end of their school day.
Charges:
- Collection by 4:00pm: £3
- Collection after 4:00pm and by 5:30pm: £6
Places should be booked in advance, with payment made through ParentPay.
The School Day
Our school day is carefully structured to provide learners with plenty of time for learning alongside opportunities to play, socialise and recharge.
8:00am – Breakfast Club begins
8:35am – School gates open
8:45am – School gates close and morning learning begins
10:35am – Morning break
10:50am – Morning learning resumes
12:00pm – Lunchtime
1:00pm – Afternoon learning begins
3:15pm – End of the school day
4:00pm – After-school activities finish (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday)
5:30pm – After-School Childcare Club closes
Supporting Our Families
Together, our Breakfast Club, after-school activities and childcare provision help us to offer a school day that extends beyond classroom learning. Whether learners are joining us for breakfast, discovering a new interest at an activity or staying with us for childcare, we want them to feel safe, happy and very much part of Gosberton Academy.
